Notes on Starting:

The first horn and the bulls eye flag, for the first race of the day is scheduled for 10:14 AM. The warning signal (white flag and the first gun) is scheduled for 10:15 AM. The preparatory signal is scheduled for 10:18 AM. And the start is scheduled for 10:21 AM. On double race days, the warning for the second race immediately follows the completion of the first race.

In the event that the flags and the audible signals don't correspond, for example, if the cannon misfires, the flags ALWAYS take precedence.

Jake Series Pop-up Race

Horn - Signals Start Sequence

Pop-up Double Races:  Race committee can call a pop-up race whenever the winds are favorable. These races will be called by the race committee before the first boat crosses the finish line on a scheduled race.  The race committee will fly the ā€œJā€ flag adjacent to the Red Start Flag , indicating that this will count towards the Jake Zimmer Series.  It is the duty of the skipper and crew to re-identify the signals for the J Series Pop Up Race, Race Course Number, and Direction, as wind conditions may have changed.
